Wonka Candy Kit on TPT plus a freebie!

I just posted a new item to my TPT store. It is a Wonka Candy Themed Kit! This one was so much fun to make.  I'm in love with the colors! One of my 1st grade teammates this year is a first year teacher.  She wants to decorate her room in a Wonka and candy theme.  She has been searching for decoratives to help her get started as well as crafting some of her own (glitter!). I wanted to help her get started with locker tags, labels, Daily 5 signs, etc.. Check it out.  I also made the sign below for her as a gift and I'm posting it as a freebie.  Let me know what you think!!

One of my favorite things...

Well I have MANY favorite things but I just have to share one of my favorite Etsy shops and products because they are such a "teacher thing".  I am obsessed with bracelets from Sophie's Beads! My husband gave me my first one as a back to school gift last year.  I know all of my teacher friends will quickly recognize their charm! I have a wishlist of many more that I plan to collect. :)

This was my first one of course!!!
Love me some Eric Carle!

Junie B. of Course!

And I have to post this one because I was just in London during the Harry Potter premiere. Madness!

I'm in between summer trips right now and as I'm getting caught up on stalking blogs and packing, I'm working on a freebie and new TPT item that is candy themed. Hope you all are doing well and enjoying your summer! giggles.

PS-Ok, so I know that school supplies are put out early as I have noticed they are already stocked, but today I got my first glimpse of Halloween and Christmas items in the store. WOW!!!

Fabulous Summer Finds...

Lots of giggles for the Classroom Shopping Linky Party comments by Ladybug's Teacher Files. I've enjoyed checking out everyone's shopping treasures for the summer. Luckily I've managed to grab a few of my own. And of course, these items did require quite a bit of digging!

The first find was on a trip to Garden Ridge with my first grade team. We made sure to check through ALL of the book tables before we decided to move on.  About 3 deep on the LAST table, I spotted this little treasure! I'm a huge fan of Tori and have wanted to check out her children's book for some time.  To think, I almost paid full price for this just 3 weeks ago.  The illustrations are adorable and the story teaches a valuable lesson about the importance of just being yourself. Can't wait to share with my firsties!
The next was actually spotted by one of my new teammates (love her!) at Half Priced Books, after I told her how excited I was to do Abby's Wizard of Oz Unit this year. However, I did have to go and scavenger for my own copy! Finally found it! Lovin the price ($2.98) AND it's just the right amount of text for a first grade read aloud. To top it off...I'm going to see Wicked in London next week! Fabulous!!

Make sure that you check out the linky party to see everyone's loot! Great idea Kristen.
